Re: Use Wireless Earphones in wired or Wireless mode?
You may find this suggested workflow from the Audacity Manual useful: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/sample_workflow_for_lp_digitization.html For click&pop[ removal: I started out doing this by had with the draw tool (extremely hard work), progressed to using Audacity's Repair tool when tha...

Re: Audacity Software question/s
The current version of Audacity will not work on Windows XP. Audacity 2.1.3 is the final version to officially support Windows XP. Actually 2.2.1 runs fine on my old XP desktop (which is air-gapped isolated from the interweb) I moved the necessary installation files from my web-connect W10 laptop o...

Re: 2.2.2 - crash using Sliding Time Scale
I can reproduce this on my Macbook Pro under macOS 10.13.2 High Sierra
a) it needs Steve's extra step to get the failure
b) as with my Windows test it ran OK on first pass - and crashed on second use

Re: 2.2.2 - crash using Sliding Time Scale
To reproduce: - Start with a fresh instance - Generate a mono noise 0.3s in length - Set project rate to 11025Hz - Select all audio - Effect -> Sliding Time/Pitch Shift - Set Final Pitch Shift to 10%, click OK - Crash May take more than one attempt, possibly depends on uninitialised memory being in...

Re: 2.0.6 vs 2.2.1 amplify tool and clipping
You must have been using a very old version of Audacity. 2.1.0 and earlier displayed one decimal point precision in Amplify 2.1.1 changed to two decimal point precision 2.1.2 and later changed to three decimal point precision If you really want single decimal point precision displayed you can always...

Re: Export Multiple Progress Window Moves
This is a known bug that we logged back in February but haven't been able to fix yet:
https://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1600
Because it is Priority P3 it is listed in the Release Notes

Re: List of open windows has disappeared ?
And I've just noticed my last useful comment in this context in that bug thread where I wrote: More usefully, if you right click on the Audacity icon in the Task bar at the bottom of the Mac screen, you can then select "Show All Windows". This will display all open Audacity project windows...

Re: How to sync-lock only selected tracks
The Manual tells you that Sync-Locked Track groups are delimited by a Label track underneath the individual group. If you have tracks at the bottom below a label track and with no label track below them - then that group of tracks forms a Sync-Locked Track Group (for example if all you have is audio...
