Re: Multiple recordings in one "file"; with individual label

Audacity 2.1.0 is way out of date. The latest Audacity version is 2.2.1 and you can get it here.

Re: Multiple recordings in one "file"; with individual label

See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/spl ... racks.html

each will be a separate audio file - but you can keep them in their own folder.

Re: Solo button: Program and Manual

Win, OK - you gave me a busy morning - once I started there I though "why not just carry on" You should find now that for anything you can click on in the "amazing imagemap" on the Manual's front page there is now also a text entry in the upgraded index. I also took the opportuni...

Re: Solo button: Program and Manual

Win, as a starter I added entries for Solo, Mute, Pan and gain in the Index as sub-entries under the pre-existing Track Control Panel entry: https://alphamanual.audacityteam.org/man/Subject_Index This is is the alpha Manual for the upcoming 2.2.2 (which hopefully will be released quite soon now) I'l...

Re: recording levels, cannot change

You are stuck in Scrub mode - just press the Stop button and then you should be able to record. To avoid this happening again get rid of the Scrub Ruler (the gray horizontal bar under the Timeline). Just right click in the bar and uncheck "Scrub Ruler" See this page in the Manual about Scr...

Re: clean up abrupt track end

I'd use the Studio Fade Out effect on say the last fifteen seconds of the track - see this page in the Manual: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/fad ... io_fadeout

Re: Audacity crashing when adding various effects

I have Audacity 2.2.1 with Windows 10.0.16299 Audacity crashes every time I add various effects to my guitar recording. Its somewhat intermittent and seems to crash at different times when various effects are applied. Some of the effects that cause the crash are Guitar Rig 5, Boss SD1, JCM900, Tube...

Re: Upgraded to 2.1.2 and cannot monitor or adjust input vol

I just upgraded to 2.2.1 and this issue still continues. This Crosley turntable is totally useless as a USB device if I can't control the volume. It is still at full volume, redlining the meters, and totally distorted. Are you ever going to check into this issue? I am sure there are thousands of th...

Re: Solo button: Program and Manual

You can also get to the page you need by clicking on Preferences in the left hand navigation bar (readable by screen readers tor the VI community) The click on the Tracks Behaviors (also screen read for the VI) But yes, the Manual is heavily based on hypertext with many, many clickable links (images...

Re: Solo button: Program and Manual

I could not find the manual page for that particular preference. Is there a way to get to it, other than clicking within the graphic on the Tracks Preferences page? I suggest that menu sub-items should be explicitly listed ("See also...") on such pages. Try clicking on the Solo button on ...
