In which case you are running an old version 2.2.0 - that was a temporary (not good) cjange for that version.


We reverted for 2.2.1 (and note that 2.2.2 should be out soon).

Sierra and High Sierra both worked fine for me on my Macbook Pro after upgrading from El Capitan, with Audacity (2-3 hour projects) - and photo editing in Photoshop - and Nero for making simple movies.

I'm now on 10.13.3 High Sierra and that's fine too.

It looks to me from your screenshots that you are trying to store Audacity projects and exported files to the folders where the application lives a) this is a bad idea b) you probably don't have the privileges for that (which is why you are blocked) You should be storing in: Documents/Audacity - or ...

At the bottom of the thread there is a "Subscribe topic" button for the particular thread - click on that and you will get email notifications of updates to the thread.

And with those three preferences changes you should find Audacity looking and behaving as you are used to.

With no need to revert to an earlier version (doing so would lose the advantage of the many bug-fixes).

Whereas before I used to have to outline items (turn them grey) to work on them, everything is grey now and when I highlight them they turn white. 2.1.3 is now a fairly old version - the latest version is 2.2.1 (and soon 2.2.2 will be released)

The whole point of Export Multiple is that exports each of the labelled sections into its own audio file all in one go - i.e Multiple Export is an automated export
