I think that you have two mono channels and not a stereo channel. What does it say in the Track Control Panel(s) to the left of the waveforms - mono or stereo. You can either join the two together to make a stereo track and the Export it as a stereo file - click on the track name or the little black...

1) Import all the MP3 files into Audacity 2) they will all be on separate tracks 3) use Tracks > Align Tracks > Align End to End 4) they will all still be on separate tracks but lined up one after the other 5) use File > Exprt > Export as MO3 6) result -> a single MP3 file where all the imported MP3...

Save is for saving an Audacity Project (in its own special format)

Export is for creating a playable audio file from your project.

I think you have fallen victim to a nasty bug we had in 2.2.0 and 2.2.1 - but now thankfully fixed in 2.2.2 - whereby using Save As rather than just Save causes audio to be silenced. Unless you have earlier backup copies of your project I suspect this may not be recoverable. You really should upgrad...

I suspect that it won't get fixed.

Use the Manage button in the effect and save the preset - then you can restore that named pre-set any time you use the effect.

One should be able to hit K, then Shift-D to preroll from end-of-track and carry on recording. Hi Stuart, you should be glad to know that we have indeed implemented this for the upcoming 2.3.0 - I've just QA tested it and it works well, Thank you for making such a good and sensible suggestion. Peter
