Re: Lame for Windows 10?
There are better tools for achieving this task - see: https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/MP3_Editing_Tools Audcaity will take in your MP3 file and covert it to Audacity project format. Agter you split it up and then export to MP3s you will compound the data loss caused by conversion to MP3. Some of ...

Re: Initial import is taking too long to save.
Logged on Bugzilla: https://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1979
It would seem to be an issue introduced with version 2.2.0, it got 50% worse for 2.2.1, and then improved for 2.2.2 (but only to 2.2.0 levels).

Re: Remove background music and vocals from firework video
The fireworks are louder than the music in places ... If you have various good-ish chunks of fireworks louder you could use those to copy and past over where the music is louder Still a bit of work - but not as bad as "muting and adding firework sounds manually" I would think You have to ...

Re: Initial import is taking too long to save.
You seem to be right here, Paul. 8-) I tested on Windows 10 using a generated 5 hour mono chirp a) on 2.1.0 the save tool 5 seconds b) on 2.2.2 (and the 2.3.- alpha test) it takes 30 seconds I will log this on our bug-tracker for further investigation - extremely unlikely to be fixed for the upcomin...

Re: Effect Menu bug - arrow up resizes window; closes menu
From your video it would appear that you are actually (somehow) running a very old version of Audacity - In 2.2.2 and indeed even 2.1.3 there is at the the top of the Effect menu an entry Add / Remove Plug-ins which takes you to the plug-in manager dialog. I see no trace of that in your video. Try u...

Re: Effect Menu bug - arrow up resizes window; closes menu
Make sure you close all open Audacity windows and then run 2.2.2
If you already have an earlier version open and click the 2.2.2 it will actually run a second copy of the earlier version

Re: Effect Menu bug - arrow up resizes window; closes menu
I can only suggest that you install 2.2.2 and see what it does - no graying, rather it just cycles through the list.
And it's the same in the upcoming 2.3.0

We fixed this a loooong time ago now
The current version is 2.2.2 (with 2.3.0 maybe out at the end of the month)

Re: Can not use audio from pc. While using Microphone
You will need to record the two separately and overdub - see this tutorial in the Audacity Manual: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tut ... rdubs.html
