Re: Audacity is blurry?

My Macbok Pro has a Retina display and I do not experience a blurry Audacity - running 10.14.1 Mojave now, but prior to that El Capitan, Sierra and High Sierra.

Also may different Audacity versions including the latest 2.3.0 and 2.3.1 alpha test

Re: digitizing vinyl collection

You may find the additional ClickRepair app useful - it costs a little but produced amazing results (I used it when I digibitted my LPs) - See this sticky thread: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=1994

Re: exporting labels as aud?

Sorry no direct way - what I would do if I wanted to do this is: 1) Use File > Save Project > Save lossless copy of project several times (once for each labelled section) Projectname-1, Projectname-2 etc. 2) Then you can open op each one in turn and delete the ones you don't want 3) Importantly step...

Re: Not recording when "reduced"

It should continue recording with Audacity reduced to the Toolbar - I do this every Monday night with a 2-hour Timer Record just so my cats don't try stopping it 8-)

Re: Sector Boundary Errors Using "Export > Multiple"

Do label track positions follow the same rules with regard to "Snap-To" as the audio track? Thanks. My understanding is that this only happens if you turn on Snap-To before you set your labels. Turning on Snap-To after labels are created will not cause the label positions to re-align. WC

Re: Manual for Mac users

Where should I, as a Mac user, start? You can probably start by not printing the pages ... We're all part-time volunteers. Would you like to volunteer to help produce the print version? The key reason why the Manual does not work well in printableform, is that is designed to be an on-line hypertext...

Re: Audacity 2.2.2 creates an empty folder under Documents

Yes indeed. This is not a bug, it is a deliberate creation. Well I never knew that  That does not happen on Linux or macOS, and I wouldn't have thought that would be the "correct" behaviour on Windows. I just tested for certainty on Windows - and what happens is that if you do not ...

Re: Audacity 2.2.2 creates an empty folder under Documents

Audacity 2.2.2 (on Windows 10) creates an empty folder C:\Users\<my username>\Documents\Audacity ... The folder under Documents seems to be useless, and it clutters up my Documents display in Windows/File Explorer. Yes indeed. This is not a bug, it is a deliberate creation. It is intended as the de...

After a crash, I also get a message that there was a problem recovering my project, but it is always OK.
Yes, crash recovery seems to work very well these days :)

I'd guess your soundcard is disabled, or there's something wrong with the drivers.
I agree I get that on my XP machine (which has no soundcard at all)
