Re: Saving (exporting) to non-Wav is needlessly tedious
THIS is why I feel I should be able to see extensions in the export dialog box other than the one I'm exporting to. So that I can clone from the .wav name THERE and manually replace the .wav with .flac. Have you tried my revised (corrected workaround above - it does just that ... I just tested this...

Re: Saving (exporting) to non-Wav is needlessly tedious
Workaround 1) Start saving the project as a WAV 2) select the WAV with the filename you want 3) change the "Save as type" to be, say, FLAC Then the filename should remain but with the changed extension WC Thanks, I'll look into it. But I've never "saved a project" and don't see ...

Re: Can't access the Macro Menu in Tools for batch-conversion of several files
rather than closing your project, try opening a new Audacity project with File > New shortcut Cmd + N
You should than be able to use this new empty project to apply your Macro to a set of files.

Re: Spectal view, waveform view and combined view
ther is an existing Feature Request for "Waveform/Spectrogram split view for each track" See: https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Feature_Requests#mtv If that anchored link doesn't work on your browser - does for me on Firefox but not on MSEdge - just search on the page for "Multiple t...

Re: 2.3.0 has lost keyboard input on dialog boxes

Re: 2.3.0 has lost keyboard input on dialog boxes
we have fixed the crashing issue for the upcoming 2.3.1, but we have a residual bug wherby on returning to the label and right clicking no context menu appears (but at least there is no crash). The simple workaround is to left click in the label first and then you can right click to get the context...

Re: 2.3.0 has lost keyboard input on dialog boxes
And I reported another bug a long time ago, and it has not been fixed. If you hit command B to add a label, and then go to a different program to say, copy the label contents. If you then return to Audacity by right-clicking the label box, Audacity crashes every time. Hi jarome, we have fixed the c...
