Re: Windows 10 Audacity 2.2.2
The "red mark" is the Recording Cursor in the Timeline. Once you do get a signal into Audacity, the recording will start and the cursor will move with the waveform (in your top image). In your lower image you have pinned the play/record head and with that the "red mark" drawing-p...

Re: Light blue shadow on time line
And having looked myself at that page in the Manual I'm thinking that that subsection could maybe do with an image to make it clearer. (I am the main editor of the Manual - so I'll make myself an editornote to get around to doing that.) I had a bit of time on my hands, so I went ahead and updated t...

Re: Split clip shortcut no longer working v2.3.0
I'm thinking that this is one shortcut that we should probably move into the reduced Standard shortcut set. I agree. It is definitely one shortcut that I miss if I don't have the full set enabled. Several other people have also written in about the "loss" of this shortcut. OK - so I'll ra...

Sounds like this bug: https://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2009
that we fixed for the upcoming 2.3.1 release (probably next month)

Re: Split clip shortcut no longer working v2.3.0
If you mean the "Ctrl + i" ("split") shortcut, it is in the "full" set of defaults. See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/keyboard_preferences.html#defaults Or if you don't want/need the Full set of shortcuts you could just add Ctrl + i (or any other key/key combina...
