I tried - can't be moved.
So
1) Reset Toolbars as Trebor suggests
2 and the restore the Mixer Toolbar from View>Toolbars

Re: Project decompressed and not working to open??

Re: scrub and seek toolbar in the middle of the screen

Try clicking on " Reset Toolbars " That will just hide the Scrb toolbar. You should be able to move the Scrub toolbar to any loaction in either the top or bottom tppldocks by clicking and dragginf on the ruled vertical bar at the left of the toolbar. See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/m...

Re: Audacity crashed, but recovery lost audio

For future reference, 2.3.0 added a new command: File > Save Project > Save Lossless Copy of Project...

This enables you to make safety copies of the project under different name(s) and continue working in the same project.

Re: Problems in Directories setting

I do get a confirmation message of where the file is sent to, which must be dismissed by clicking the OK button - which the original poster, Jutzi, won't like, as it doesn't suit his workflow described earlier in this thread. but the confirmation message only occurs once, on completion of the scrip...
