Re: Allow user to drop AUP files into the Audacity editor.

What you can do is drag&drop an aup file onto the Audacity app icon (if you have one) on your desktop - Audacity will then open a new Audacity project for this dragged&dropped aup. The main reason that you can't drag&drop an aup into an already open audacity project is that it is not pos...

Re: Very strange behavior on recording

Yes we do - but that is a P5 low priority bug and as this is a purely volunteer project with very few developers - only 3 or 4 folk all of whome gift their spare time - the ...

Re: Very strange behavior on recording

I suspect it may be related to this bug (but I am not a developer): https://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1959

Re: Very strange behavior on starting recording

david267, I have a very similar setup to you - I have an HP Envy (with SSD) and on onboard Realtek Soundcard and B&O sound onboard. I do not get the same symptoms as you when recording from the onboard microphone - but what I do get is that when recording a new track it takes a short while for t...

Re: Audacity 2.3.0 Mac help icons (?) and Help menu not working

FWIW, I am also on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, early 2015). Me too - though mine is about a year younger I just tested again and either with no browser open or browser already open on a non-Audacity page I still get diected successfully to the Manual's Amplify page when i ujse tyhe "?"...

Re: Bug: Paulstrech selected area

As I explained to you about Change Tempo and Change Speed where applying them will change the selection - as is intended https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=103304&p=362282#p362282 - so will Paulstretch as it effects an extreme speed change. See: https://alphamanual.audacityt...

Re: Not Responsive

I can't reproduce this on my W10 laptop with either 2.3.0 or the alpha test build for the upcoming 2.3.1 1) Import a one-hour stereo track 2) Effect > Repeat to make 23 repeats 3) Fit Project to screen 4) the full 24 hours displays almost immediately. Admittedly I do have a hi-spec HP Envy with a fa...
