Re: How to set default "playback speed" slider
The default setting for Play at Speed is not configurable. However, you could add a keyboard shortcut to the "Adjust Playback Speed" command, which would then allow you to open the speed setting with one key press. See here for how to set a keyboard shortcut: https://manual.audacityteam.o...

Re: Where does the mp3 macro get it's settings from

Re: Allow user to drop AUP files into the Audacity editor.
I added your vote - and incidentally added mine, as I think this is sensible (not entirely necessary, but sensible nonetheless). I also added your two lines of comment on how it should work. Just note that technically there is only ever one "instance" of Audacity that runs - and that "...

Re: command for "shift + tab" in chain command
In order to see those commands in the menu structure you need to turn on the Extra menu with View > Extra Menus Then you'll see them under Extra >Play-at-Speed > ... But to use them in Macros you don't necessarily need the Extra menus turned on. In the Macro manager dialog Tools > Macros... when you...

Re: Allow user to drop AUP files into the Audacity editor.
I just searched our Wiki>Feature Requests and found this entry with just 3 votes:
Ability to open an AUP file by dragging in - it should just open a new project window (3 votes)
Would you like me to add your vote for this.?
