I posted a reply but I do not see it.
That's because the Forum operates a moderation queue until you become "trusted" - i.e. not a spam poster or a troll. It's the only way we can keep this little corner of the internet safe and family-friendly.

Hi Koz et al,
I'm trying to start a new topic, but can't seem to do it (can't find the "new topic" button).
If someone could send a lifeline it would be much appreciated.

Re: Scrolling left of zero?

I think I get it. With the preference setting off, you can't scroll left past zero with the drag bar BUT you can still go left past zero with the TIME SHIFT TOOL!..... Oh well... :) I think its a bit dumb too But it gets worse ... a) You can't select any audio left of zero using the normal click&am...

Re: Macros crash in background

Is this related to the problems that folks have had with Timer Record when the Audacity window goes off screen or the Mac goes to sleep?

Re: How can I use Audacity with a foot pedal?

"Stop and set cursor" causes the recording to stop and begin playing again at the exact point where it stopped. This is not what I want. I want to be able to stop listening and automatically rewind back to three seconds before the point where I stopped. The context is I am transcribing in...

Re: Envelope Tool not working?

I just tested the Envelope tool on 2.3.0 on my W10 laptop and it works fine on there for me, adjusting the volume as expected on playback.

Also tested exporting the Enveloped track and re-importing it - this had the correct volume changes rendered.

Re: Calculating times between labels

Or if you have a lot of labels you can export the labels to an excel file and then manipulate the Excel to calculate the intervals.

Re: Is there a plugin that can display tracks by pitch instead of by volume?

Have you tried looking at the Queen Mary Vamp plug-ins ? They include some pitch analaysis plug-ins and work well with Audacity. See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/analyze_menu.html#vamp You can get the QM plug-in set from here: https://www.vamp-plugins.org/download.html Search down the page f...
