Re: Problem with Drag and Drop In Audacity

If you use Open it will create a separate Audacity project. You need to use Import.

I have no problem with drag&drop on my W10 PCs - so I'm puzzled by your report.

Re: Enter key not working (Audacity 2.3.1, macOS 10.14.3)

This is a known bug: https://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1329 title of the bug states: Mac: ENTER does not close/apply effects unless user has turned on Full Keyboard Access The Release Note (which should show in the 2.3.1 Release Notes) states GROUP: Effects and Analysis * (macOS) '''...

Re: Gain Sliders not usable

when you click on the slider button just raise your cursor up a little - you can still move it left/right to change the value.

Better still - double click on the slider button - a little Gain dialog will appear enabling accurate numeric setting.

Re: Audacity 2.3.1 crashing on MP3 export on Lion

Just read elsewhere that Audacity 2.3.0 still ran the old Lame, Yes that is the case - it is only the new 2.3.1 64-bit Audacity that needs 64-bit LAME vn 3.100 Testing Audacity 2.3.0 created MP3 files correctly. Shows Lame 3.99.5 in preferences. And yes, 3.99.5 is the right 32-bit LAME version for ...

Yes, I'm perfectly clear I have lip smacks and you can hear me breathing. I think the breathing is normal and should go through. Jury's out on the smacks.
Sounds fine to me 8-)

Um. . . what's a TOC?
TOC = Table Of Contents

The Manual is written in HTML which can atutogenerate TOC's if required - but habd-built custom TOCs are prettier and more customizable.

Re: LAME won't complete

I have both the 32-bit and 64-bit LAME libraries installed on my MacBook Pro with Mojave 10.14.3. I can happily switch between 2.3.1 64-bit Audacity and 32-bit 2.3.0 Audacity and LAME works fine on those to produce MP3 exports - so yes it does work. In order to test the instructions in the Manual(s)...

Re: Tracks inseparable

There is no button anymore - we removed it a while back to prevent accidental triggering.

Sync-Lock Tracks can be turned on or off at Tracks > Sync-Lock Tracks.

Re: Crash to desktop if track collapsed.

So I'll be logging this as a P1 fregression bug. Done: https://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2078 As a P1 regression it will be a must-fix for the 2.3.2 release. Many thanks for reporting that Uffeg - and with such short precise steps to reproduce - much appreciated. 8-) Peter

Re: Crash to desktop if track collapsed.

Hi I just downloaded the new release 2.3.1 of Audacity for Windows 10 Home version 1809. These steps results in a crash to desktop: 1. Record a stereo track. 2. Collapse the track. 3. Press the record button or Ctrl+R. Good catch Uffeg 8-) These steps crash 2.3.1 (and the latest 2.3.2 alpha test bu...
