Re: Suggestion for Change Tempo dialog box

Yes we do - it's the middle section in the Change Tempo effect. I see what the user is driving at - what is currently effectively "locked" in Change Tempo is the slider position, the percentage change. The user is asking for an enhancement such that the "BPM to" box could be lock...

Re: First label not exporting correctly

You are now working on a very old version of Audacity - 2.3.1 is that latest version and 2.3.2 should be out soon. I cannot reproduce your problem either on 2.3.1 or on the Release Candidate for 2.3.2. You can get the latest Audacity version from here: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ WC

Re: ACC file time is changing to 789:57:13

Apple now bundle iTunes in Mojave - and latest/current Mojave still has the older version of iTunes with the bug still in it, it will only update when Apple updates Mojave. It's only when I test on Windows where I can force the upload of the latest iTunes that I see the problem has been fixed by App...

Re: Chains for Intro / Outro

But I would have thought it should be achievable with Macros (Chains are now replaced in Audacity by Macros). Export your intro as an audio file Export your outro as an audio file Record your content as an audio file Create a Macro that 1) imorts your intro 2) imports your content 3) imorts your out...

Re: Chains for Intro / Outro

A simpler template might be Into in one track (top track) outro on bottom track 1) Open Template 2) Press Record to start recording the content - this will append record at the end of the first track (i.e. after the intro) 3) when you finish recording with Stop 4) Select all with Cmd+A 5) Tracks > A...

Re: 2.3.1 WASAPI inconsistent recording, volume dependent on system volume

In the Manual on this page: It says Windows WASAPI: This host is the most recent Windows interface between applications (such as Audacity) and the audio interface driver. WASAPI was first officially released in 2007 in Windows Vista. WASAPI is particularly useful for "loopback" recording o...

Re: exporting names songs to my itunes library

This is what the Audacity Manual has to say about the pathing for automatic export to iTunes:
https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/ins ... st_install

No "test" in that pathing string.

Re: Shortcut for re-importing?

Anyway, for my second point: When I have done certain actions on a track and then delete that track, the actions are affecting the new track imported from file. Let's say I have muted a track by pressing Shift-U. I remove that track and then re-import a different file into Audacity. The newly impor...

Re: splitting long audio file into two different files

or

place a label at the beginning and a label in the middle (you'll likely need a central label for Steve's method anyway for selection accuracy) and then use Export Multiple.
