On a side issue, why can't I set a hot key to apply macro now? It's greyed out in the keyboard preferences.
Yes I see that too - not sure why, but I'll ask the developer who worked on Macros.

Re: Error message before i even go on audacity

This is a known issue logged in our bugtracker : https://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2074 It affects only a few PCs - and unfortunately none of the PCs used by our developers and QA testers (and there are few of us on this volunteer project) exhibit this behavior - so we are finding it...

Re: Help with Pause function

I can't figure out how to RESUME recording after I have hit the pause button. Click the Pause button again (or keyboard shortcut: "P") Or click the Record button (or keyboard shortcut: "R") This will create a split line at the pause point - which may be useful if you later want ...

Re: modifying label as a new history level

I use audacity's sound-finder to auto-generate a label track for a particular wav file. This works pretty well, but I usually have to go in and slightly adjust the onsets and offsets of each created label. Each modification to each label (e.g. adjusting onset or offset, as well as the label text) i...

Re: Slow Performance on 6 Core Mac Pro

I have a MacBook Pro SSD 2017 running 10.14.5

I see no speed degradation on current release 2.3.2 or the latest alpha test build I have for the upcoming 2.3.3 even when running at fill screen - so I am totally puzzled by these reports.
