I don't think you can.

But I can see it might make sense that a new track could be added just beneath the currently selected tracks.

We are discussing similar right now for Mix and Render and Duplicate - I have added this suggestion to that discussion email thread.

Read Ed's footnote - it is a personally customized version that he built based on a now very old Audacity version - much bug-fixing and many new features since then.

I just wanted to vote for an already suggested feature ( Import cue sheets ) but it wasn't clear how to proceed. From what I understand you have to create a post on the forum, but the feature vote is closed after one month on the forum . Is it feasible to vote directly from the Feature request page...

You should be able to open 1.2.6 projects in 2.3.2 (Audacity will update the format) - but once saved in 2.3.2 you will not be able top open the project in 1.2.6

When exporting to FLAC the "Comment" metadata field is ignored and not exported with the audio file
