Re: Low and High frequencies window

You need to be in Spectrogram view to make use of that toolbar - see: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/spe ... _view.html

Re: Creating a macro from the current steps

Most (all?) effects remember the last used settings, so when you add the effect to a Macro, it will have the settings that you had just used. The exception that I know of is Amplify - which always opens with a "New Peak Amplitude" of 0dB - and calculates the "Amplification" requ...

Re: Windows 10 update Noise

I can't reproduce similar on my HP W10 laptop - and I always get that latest Microsoft updates. I tested a) with the on-board mic in my HP Envy laptop b) using my Sony ECM-MS907 mic connected through my USB external soundcard (Edirol UA-1EX) I note (from your Audacity Device toolbar) that you are us...

I'm experiencing this issue with Audacity 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 on Mac Catalina 10.15.1. (I'm using Terminal to open, via Automator.)
This puzzles me as those are built as 32-bit applications and should not run on Catalina which only runs 64-bit applications :?

Re: Double clicking on Pan Control opens infinite Pan windows

Because it's a regression (and a fairly recent regression) I've initially logged it as P2 (if I log it as P4 or P5 it's unlikely ever to get looked at) https://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2258 Sliders in the slider dialogs when double-clicked yield a further slider dialog Thanks for th...

Re: Double clicking on Pan Control opens infinite Pan windows

And not only is this a bug it's a regression.

Further testing shows that this is a regression on Audacity 2.2.2, first introduced in version 2.3.0

So I will be logging this bug.

Re: Double clicking on Pan Control opens infinite Pan windows

@Guillermo - just single-click on the blur-circle in the original pan control dialog

or single-click on the reticulated scale for the slider.

(It's the double click that's causing the bug to show.)

And then set it using the OK button

Re: Double clicking on Pan Control opens infinite Pan windows

Further testing shows that it's not only the Pan and gain sliders in the TCPs that are affected this way - this also afflicts the sliders in the Play-at-Speed toolbar and those in the Mixer toolbar.

Re: Double clicking on Pan Control opens infinite Pan windows

Re: Stretching the dynamic range down to gain dynamics

I've read good reports of Brian Davies' Click Removal (commercial software - not free but reasonably priced and a free trial period). See this sticky thread: https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=1994 But only after I'd already treated a fair few time-consumingly by hand with Auda...
