Re: Provide start, end, and length of selection
However, displaying "start + duration + end" will be an unpopular regression for anyone that frequently uses "end + duration" I don't see that - we get all three with this proposal - so the current user will still have both end and duration. And I'd order the three as Start, end...

Re: Provide start, end, and length of selection
Plus we're planning on moving the "Audio Position" counter out of the Selection Toolbar into its own separate Toolbar - which will also free up real-estate in the Selection Toolbar.

Re: Provide start, end, and length of selection
I'm strongly minded to agree - what I would do is to tale Snap-To off the Selection Toolbar and bury it in Preferences somewhere. That would release sufficient screen real estate - and at the same time mark it harder for users to accidentally turn on Snap-To (which we know does happen from time to t...

Re: Close = Exit now?: I can't close only 1 window at a time anymore
Works on Windows
I just tested again on W10 with 2.3.3 and the latest alpha test build I have for 2.4.0
1) launch Audacity
2) Ctrl+N
3) observe second project opens on top
4) Ctrl+W
5) Observe 2nd top project closes leaving first project open
In contrast Ctrl+Q closes both projects.
Peter.

Re: Mains hum: notch filter alternative?
You can create your own personal curves in Filter Curve and the use Manage > Save Preset These can then be retrieved later with Manage > User Presets WC Thanks, that helps! I should have found it right away, but the German menu names irritated me a little here. Great. We're hoping to find some time...

Re: I can not turn on Equalaizer.
And to make things clearer "Does what it says on the Tin" ...
For the next release 2.4.0 we have changed Filter Curve... to be Filter Curve EQ...
Just so that folks realize that it is an EQ Equalizer effect.
Peter.

Re: Close = Exit now?: I can't close only 1 window at a time anymore
In the most recent versions of Audacity(*), I am noticing a(n annoying) new behavior -- If I close 1 window/project -- now it closes all windows/projects Use File > Close or the window " X " to close just the current Audacity Window File > Exit or shortcut Ctrl + Q - will close all Audaci...
