Re: "What you hear" no longer available in Vista??
Yes, "What U hear" is an option using the SoundBlaster, which I do not have on the Vista PC. So "What U hear" is probably not the name that I selected from the menu, but certainly I could record without the microphones. Alas. No longer. Thank goodness it is functional with Soundblaster under XP. Doe...

Re: "What you hear" no longer available in Vista??
Steve, Thank you for your prompt reply. I've tried everything suggested in the link you provided. Still no-go. Since this last worked, there have been many Microsoft updates and many "deep" cleanings of the registry and other things. And I've taken to deleting the rollback files after updates, think...

"What you hear" no longer available in Vista??
I have used Audacity for many years, though only occasionally under Vista. I am trying to record using the "What you Hear" input option. This had been available last time I used it, about a year ago. At least I'm pretty sure it did. Now the "What you hear" input option is no longer available. I'm su...

Darobin,
From where did you get LAME? Was it http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/ or http://www.gaclrecords.org.uk/lame_enc.dll or elsewhere?

Re: Audacity 1.3.7 crashes when using export multiple
Another update: Audacity 1.3.7 crashes after an (MP3) export, even if only 1 export is requested.
Help! I need Audacity 1.3.6. Anyone know where it is?
Thanks,
KR

Re: Audacity 1.3.7 crashes when using export multiple
Update: It also crashes when trying to export multiple tracks, with no label track. First track exports correctly, then it crashes. Exporting multiple tracks (no label track) also worked correctly in Audacity 1.3.6.

Audacity 1.3.7 crashes after export
I just downloaded Audacity 1.3.7. I am using Export Multiple (MP3) using a label track. I have done this many times with Audacity 1.3.6 and it worked fine there. After the first file is exported, Audacity crashes. This happened two times out of two. Is Audacity 1.3.6 archived anywhere? I would like ...

Found: Utility to copy filename to Title attribute
FYI.
Here is a neat little utility to copy the filename to the Title attribute, and much more besides:
http://www.id3-tagit.de/
Normally we don't need such a utility with Audacity, but it may come in handy.
