Thank you all for your suggestions but I don't think I will bother, it sounds too complicated and if there is a POSSIBILTY to mess things up, I will stay away from it.

I may look at that machine that does the job for you.

I have already installed Audacity but dont find it easy to start using, hence request for step x step if poss.

First thing it says to do is change from mono to sterio, not where that option is?

Hi There I have bog standard radio/cassette player and a Toshiba laptop with XP.
