Audacity can import Wave, but its main purpose is to record.
In preferences you can select the output en input device.

Do you mean that you record with a microphone in Mic-in. (live music)
Because if you mean a live show on your PC you should use StereoMix

Please elaborate.
Audacity can record from Line-in, Cd-in, microphone, StereoMix (that is what you hear on speakers).
He saves the recorded sound on your harddisk.
You can then convert to wave or MP3.
Using WMP, MediaMonkey or what ever you like, you can then burn a CD.
