Good call. I installed the retro version (1.2) of Audacity and I have the same problem. Neither Lexicon or MBox's sites have anything on the problem. That leaves me with Windows 7 and the drivers for the (onboard) soundcards. Any ideas?

That's the problem as I understand it. I originally tried to dig down into all sound-related sub menus. Then I tried surfing the web to look at posts. I read elsewhere that Win7 does not provide for that boost (+3db?) available in xp and vista. I am not certain whether that will prove to be true or ...

And, yes that was the Lexicon mixer, but I also used an mbox2 with the same result.

I am using Audacity 1.3 Beta on a recently acquired quad core machine running Win7 Ultimate. I use a Lexicon Alpha mixer and a Sennheiser e835 mic to do voiceovers.
