just tried, it, when audacity opened I could see the "microphone" was not gray... when I selected "record" nothing happened and "microphone" went gray. I closed and re opened audacity... and chose MME from the drop list, now it records... it works but I am still baffled why did the setting change an...

last time I used Audacity to record, all worked fine today, the options for microphone and speakers are grayed and the drop list does not work "pressing" record button does not work I downloaded the new version 2.3.0, same problem windows 7.... playback volume selector moves but record level selecto...

same problem with updated, 2.2.2 (?) updated today... last time I played a recording from my voice recorder, everything played today, sound so low even at highest settings, I can't hear what is said other sound works fine, I played something on YouTube... sound is normal same with windows media play...

Audacity 1.3 Beta (Unicode), Windows 7 I don't know the right terms for this so it makes it hard to look up I'm copying old audio tapes, and some some audios of study material..... recorded into audacity.... I'd like to separate the songs with the song name and be able to advance to that song or cop...

I want to edit some sections transferred from a digital voice recorder, when I upload it to Audacity the 40 minute track is shown the length of the Audacity window making it hard to place the cursor to cut out sections... I cant't find out how to do this, not knowing what it is called, but how do I ...

It was working all along... it uploads the file under "unknown" and it did not show in the list of "albums"
I found them all today

but pleased...

I was able to edit my audio and add notes about areas deleted, add a beginning and end....
very cool!

Next, what was I missing about being able to import it into itunes?
