I think it simply couldnt handle the sheer amount of Audio Units I have installed.

Thanks again, this program is really handy and It would be annoying not to have a standalone audio editor. The one in Logic 7 is ok, but nowhere near as good as Audacity.

Ive tried that and now Audacity is opening every time without scanning for audio units, but is crashing unexpectedly every time it opens as well.

I use most of these plug ins in logic and dont need them in Audacity.

All I use Audacity for is to shorten and lengthen Audio Files, and edit them by cutting and pasting/ time stretching etc.
