Re: Non functioning Left Channel on recording.
Bill, Back on line and I have been busy re the problem. What I did, I re-read all of your replies to me and started going through the recording pathway and reached the only conclusion I could and that was the cable coming from the Naim. As you know Naim still use DIN plugs/sockets, so I had a 4" cab...

Re: Non functioning Left Channel on recording.
Hi Bill, Wow, what a reply, many thanks for your interest, time and effort. To answer your questions: 1) Input slider control approx set at around 75% of full volume. 2) The socket I am using is one of 3 on the Naim 82, they double as an In/Output. I think it's the Tape socket, as recommended by Naim...

Re: Non functioning Left Channel on recording.
Hi Bill.
Many thanks for your prompt reply. I have my turntable hooked up to my Preamp (Naim 82) and then a another cable (new) into the Fubar, then into the mac via USB, which is also a new cable. The Fubar that you describe is the one I have. Any ideas and thanks for your help.

Re: Non functioning Left Channel on recording.
Hi bill,
Thanks for replying but this particular model of DAC does both, records and plays back. When selected the DAC produces such a low trace in Audacity that it is quite useless, and as I indicated I can see no other way to increase the input volume.

Re: Non functioning Left Channel on recording.
Hi kos, Turntable is a Linn LP 12 which has just been serviced and is working ok. I have checked all connections and everything seems ok but will do so again. Non functioning Left Channel on recording.
I have a macBook Pro with Snow leopard, latest version and 1.3.12 Audacity Beta. My problem is, and it has happened once or twice before, that when recording from Vinyl played on a stand-alone record deck the left channel is completely dead as the proverbial Do-Do. The trace of that channel is just ...

Re: Non functioning Pause Button when recording
Hi Gale and Koz,, Great news, pause button works fine now. After reading every reply I had I decided to uninstall my copy of Audacity and try another source for downloading, which I did and hey presto all is well again. Whether choosing another site for downloading made any difference I for one do n...

Re: Non functioning Pause Button when recording
Gale, Just been recording again and nothing I'm afraid has changed, the Pause button still does not work. What happens when recording and I use the button is it flickers on and off and the recording actually slows but does not stop, so the only way I can record at present is to to do one or two song...
