Re: Converting to MP3

I've seen something like this.. best guess is you ran short of disk space or memory during some operation. "undo" has gotten me back in those cases. In the flow I usually use for recording LP's (remove DC bias, rumble filter, remove some clicks, amplify, export) disk space needed is about 10x what a...

The closest I've done to that had one track on each side. One track spanning both sides?

Re: Setting track number for export multiple

Best solution in terms of extra work so far: put extra labels at the start of the second side equal to the number of tracks on the first side. Export multiple genrates a bunch of ~.1 second flac files containing silence that can be deleted, and the real tracks have the right numbers in both file nam...

They all go on the computer as FLAC files to play through the stereo and/or as vorbis or MPC files on my portable player. Th...

Re: Setting track number for export multiple

i am not an expert on the internals but i cant see amplify having any problem highpass woudl need some ram not sure if anything needs more disk space but more free unfragmented disk is always good I'd guess you need disk space at least for the undo storage. If you're talking an hour long recording ...

Re: Setting track number for export multiple

I don't know if it was a problem with available RAM or disk, but the first time I tried doing both sides at one go, one of the applied effects failed. I don't remember whether it was high pass or amplify.

Setting track number for export multiple

When I record from vinyl and do "export multiple" Audacity puts the track numbers in to tags and file names just as I like. The problem is when I record the second side of the album it starts over at track 1. Is there any way to set the starting track number so I end up with a continuous sequence fo...
