I have found that if I select "Separate all input jacks as independent devices" I can record, however this leaves me with the problem that I kinda need to record from two sources at once.

Yea, there are front connections and rear connections. I don't know how it's done, virtualised I assume. The board it self is inbuilt to the motherboard, but I believe the model number is ALC1200, although, whether you can buy it as separate hardware, I'm not sure. I say virtualised as it's all done...

I am trying to get Audacity to record from a mic, well in truth from two mics. I am running windows 7, I have V1.2.6 and the Beta 1.3.12. I have selected Microphone in preferences, stereo, the quality as 44100 Hz & 32-bit float Default Sample Format. When I hit the record button I get the error ...
