In case anyone can't see "stereo mix" under recording devices in Windows 7 (control panel -> sound -> recording tab). Try right clicking in the list and select "Show disabled devices". Then set it as default, and select it as the recording device in Audacity (edit -> preferences). Worked for me on R...
