Re: Can't open project
OK I'll open a new project. Meanwhile I'm having trouble loading an edited file into MS Media Player. I was able to load the original unedited file into Media Player, but when I highlighted an edited version I get a message that the file is installed on another device. When I shut down Audacity and ...

Re: Can't open project
You are a genius. It worked perfectly after I followed your instructions.. How do I save it in Media Player? Is there a location? Maybe I could give it a separate folder. I'm going to have to do some further editing of the data. As you know if you have listened to the piece. there is some booming un...

Re: Can't open project
Thanks for the encouragement. It appears that my file has been converted to a .wav file since it appears in the file name in the Audacity file box. Now the problem is I can't get Windows Media Player (WMP)to accept my .wav file. After I type in c\users where the file is stored, WMP breaks in and say...

(I haven't been working on it all these months but finally got back to it again) To reiterate, I have an .aup file that I opened in Audacity and edited it. Now I wan't to do what is necessary to convert the edited .aup file to a file ...

Can't open project
Audacity 2.1.1 on Windows 7. After a few months, I'm back with a strange problem. I can't get the organ music file (VORC008) to load into Audacity. Before (in September) when I clicked on VORC008 it would load into Audacity. Now when I click on VORC008 it changes into "e00" which won't load into Aud...

Re:Problems copying the music to disk
I think I have followed your instructions for copying the music to a CD using MS audio player, but I can't get the audio player to recognize the Audacity file. Now a couple of new file types have shown up: the Audacity file with ".aup" and another with "-data" appended. The Media Player won't recogn...

Re: Copying material from Tutorials
Now for a stupid question. I want to delete the portion that has the noise. How do I do that? Highlight it and click a "delete" button? I can't find a "delete" button. Where is it?

Copying material from Tutorials [CLOSED]
I am very pleased with my use of your help site. I do have a positive suggestion. The tutorials are easy to understand and very helpful. I like to print them out because I find it difficult to jump back and forth from the problem area and the tutorial, so I try to copy them on paper (Ctrl A, Ctrl C,...

I am using Ver 2.1.1 on Windows 7. I have a clip of organ music I recorded using a single track Sansa Clip. Unfortunately during the recording a hot air furnace in the auditorium came on resulting in several loud clicks over a few seconds of the recording. I have loaded the clip into Audacity and wa...
