Re: Audacity Very slow - 2.06

Make sure you have Audacity from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . If Help > About Audacity... really says 2.06 (only one dot in the file name) then it isn't official Audacity. There is no fix yet, but the developers know it's an issue on longer projects and it is noted in http://wiki.audac...

Re: side by side configuration incorrect

It sounds like you have tried most things. You could try replacing all copies of "msvcp90.dll" and "msvcr90.dll" on the computer with the Audacity copies. Be sure to search in system and hidden files. You could try deleting C:WindowsWinsxSManifestCache or try editing the *vc90.cr...

Re: Static/distortion on recording in Yosemite

Now that the crackling issue is fixed, I split the crashing issues to a new topic http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 47&t=83320.

Re: AGC - Automatic Gain Control

I've noticed that this plugin seems to slow down exponentially according to the length of the selection being processed. Applying it 6 times to successive 10 minute selections of an hour long audio file is much, much faster than applying it to a one hour selection... which takes forever. Anyone els...

Re: Disallow adjusting an envelope inflection point ...

I didn't suggest "not visibly creating" the point when you click. I know that, but since everyone is beefing about Envelope Tool I reserve the right to add my own beefs. ;) I just suggested that you be required to click and release to create it, and then click it again to adjust it. I dis...

Re: Disallow adjusting an envelope inflection point ...

Actually, you don't have to move the mouse to create and simultaneously "adjust" a control point on creation of the point. Just click somewhere below the 100% envelope line. Exactly, but that assumes people can click at exactly the correct point first time, and currently assuming they don...

Re: Audacity Won't Launch and/or Record

OK, I followed your instructions about deleting the text in the cfg file, etc and I *thought* it worked. I was able to record, save, open new, record save, etc a couple times. I then opened a new record screen ready to record the show starting 10 minutes later, and when I went to press "record...

Re: Device List When WASAPI Selected

it is incredible to me that Audacity doesn't record from audio devices with WASAPI. WASAPI for physical inputs has never been enabled in releases because there were perceived to be too many bugs. Some of them are listed here: http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=652 . Enabling WASAPI in...

Re: Disallow adjusting an envelope inflection point ...

Do not permit adjustment of a newly-created control point until the mouse button has been released. Thanks for explaining clearly. Wouldn't that be unpopular, that you can't drag a control point on first creation to fine adjust it? How would you request to implement it, by a Preference, a modified ...
