Re: Audio file mixed up after recovery
Moved to the Mac OS X board. Actually I have it double, because the quiet bits are a repetition. I have 2 seconds of good audio and then 2 seconds of the same audio just very quiet. I would like to delete all of the quiet audio and put together the good audio. But I am not sure how I can do this pre...

Re: Metadata Editor does not save custom fields
Many thanks for your contribution. I downloaded your patch but we are working towards the next 2.1.0 release so would not be committing your patch (even if useful) until after 2.1.0.Kelson wrote:Any feedback on this?

Re: Gverb vs Reverb
Please look at the pink panel at the top of this page. What operating system? OS X 10.9? Windows Vista? I have the old or new audacity What does that mean? ONLY have reverb To make things less confusing I suggest you obtain the latest Audacity 2.0.6 from http://audacityteam.org/download/ then look a...

Re: Analyzing beats in an AUP
Please be careful with Windows XP. Microsoft are no longer officially supporting it, so it will be unpatched against any new security vulnerabilities that appear. Make sure you have XP Service Pack 3. You can still download Service Pack 3 from Microsoft if necessary: http://support.microsoft.com/kb...

Re: Import without drag and drop?
I presume that you set up file associations with some types of audio files yourself. Yes, and I'm looking for a command line / registry entry that'll let me import a file into a running instance of Audacity from Explorer without having to drag and drop - if such a thing could exist. (File | Import ...

Re: VST Piano Plugin
I installed 4Front Piano VST Plugin from Free-Loops.com, but I can’t see this Plugin under Effects. Audacity doesn't support VST instruments either. You may be able to put a piano VST instrument in a real-time VST host like http://www.hermannseib.com/english/vsthost.htm or Minihost from http://www....

Re: Recording from Digital Piano vis USB to Hst
DHBIC understood that link?? It was all in French   I presume so. There seems to be a temporary glitch in the manual - that page should be in English :? I've change the link to an alternative one which is displaying correctly. Unfortunately it seems the French translator has overwritten...

Re: Device List When WASAPI Selected
The problems I've had with WASAPI have had to do with it finding devices in Exclusive mode. WASAPI sometimes gets confused as to whether a device is present or not. Indeed, Audacity encounters that too, but that is probably weaknesses in WASAPI or a limitation of running devices or applications in ...

Re: Disallow adjusting an envelope inflection point ...
An alternative would be not to move the pointing device when you left-click I'll go out of my way not to be annoyed by that, but it's a pretty silly thing to say. Of *course* I'm not trying to move the pointing device; that's the entire point here. :-) I don't think it's that silly. ;) If I use my ...

Re: side by side configuration incorrect
I'm glad it runs. Fortunately building with Visual Studio 2013 doesn't require an explicit manifest file to be included with Audacity which probably reduces the scope for mismatches.
