Re: Disallow adjusting an envelope inflection point ...
I'm a documentation guy; I think that everything we know about a program should be in the manual. Fantastic, (and yes I agree that the manual should be comprehensive). As you will no doubt appreciate, documenting Audacity is a huge task, so volunteers to help with the task are always welcome. Do yo...

Re: more tracks = sustain/sound problem?
let me try to explain blocky: the gentle tones are a littlebit cutted like it sounds more like a xylophone with piano sounds And I think that is due to the loss of higher frequencies in the "blocky" recording. But can you try the test at http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=26636...

Re: Set Audio File between -23db and -18db
But given it shows me the correct "extremely quiet" value, I agree it should not show absolute silence as "-60 dB". What do you think it should show? Probably our custom representation of infinity so, "-Infinity". And white space would show the same word. I don't see w...

I'm using cheapskate speakers worth about £100 if bought now. You? Both floor-standing British made (JPW) floor standing speakers (about £250 if bought now) and cheap but pretty decent monitor headphones. Wow - same manufacturer as mine, but I have "Mini" speakers. "Blocky" impl...

And, as it happens, because for some reason, it didn't work for me. 1) Place music bed as first track vertically in workspace. 2) Assemble all voice clips into the second track. 3) Select first track by clicking on control panel; observe that the entire track is selected. 4) Choose Effects->Auto Du...

Re: Can't recover my audio files
The error appears when I start audacity and it asks me if I want to recover my not-saved audio file. The error message is: "Audacity didn't recognize the type of file and if uncompressed, try importing it using 'Import Raw'". The AUTOSAVE file Audacity is trying to recover from is probabl...

Re: What you hear
AstralSpirit - you fail to tell us what version of Windows and Audacity you are on Windows 7 was stated but not the version of Audacity. I suppose we have to type it all out. Download Audacity 2.0.6 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . Open Device Toolbar - it looks like the below: [wind...

Re: more tracks = sustain/sound problem?
The volume reduction makes the congealed sound in the "bad" clip less evident I agree, but the difference is still there for me.
