Re: no sound
I bought the audio technica direct drive turntable and after installing the software and setting up the input and output - I cannot seem to hear anything. I can see the input monitoring - flickering up and down as the record plays but even when I select the "output sound" I can't hear any...

Re: How to install GSnap
I started a new topic for you as this is a different problem. I've been trying to install gsnp to my effects menu but the problem is there is no "plugins file" to copy or drag the gsnap dll file to in my "programs file 86" or "program files" folder and I don't know how ...

Re: ID3V1 vs. ID3V2 issue
On Windows Vista (my platform) "Comments" displays the contents of ID3V1 as first choice, and only ID3V2 when V1 does not exist. I recently used Audacity to truncate and amplify two songs, did my usual 'Copy to V1" within WinAmp and altered the comments section to the record label, a...

Re: Audacity is Already Running glitch
The mac is running in English, so here is a youtube video of what you requested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3-JAuPhVAQ&feature=youtu.be Thanks for the video. Have you done Verify Disk and Repair Permissions? Can you think of any system changes you made immediately prior to this problem oc...

Re: Windows 7 - Audacity 2.0.4 - cannot find FFmpeg
I have updated to the most recent version and am still having this problem. It cannot find the .dll file needed. I browse to it, select it, say "OK" and it still won't import m4a files (for example). Any ideas? If you have updated to Audacity 2.0.6 you also need to update to FFmpeg 2.2.2 ...

Re: Audacity 2.0.5 no longer plays or saves audio files corr
Thanks for posting the more permanent ways to set a lower latency in pulse. However none of that explains why the exported audio data was apparently at the wrong speed. If you renamed any tracks, that can trigger an unwanted track sample rate change in Audacity on Linux, which "could" be t...

Re: .AU files should be named sequentially (Audacity crashed
Was that a cancel during save project data? That doesn't crash for me on Windows 7/Audacity 2.1.0-alpha, after having recovered a deliberately crashed recording. Yes. I canceled saving and there was an error to effect of "Cannot write file" and something about the disk being "full or...

Re: Logitech USB headset not working with Audacity
Hello. I'd like to use Audacity to help record some singing, but I have some technical problems making it work with my Logitech USB headset. When I try to either listen or record with the headset, I get an error message that says: "Error while opening sound device. Please check the output devi...

Re: Undo History list bug?
There were only 2 tracks in the project at the time Thanks for the report. I can see three audio tracks and a label track in your images, none called by the name of the track moved up in the history. Did you previously have 50 tracks in this project and did you mouse drag "old soundbite" ...

Re: Audacity is Allready Running glitch
Sorry but I don't have many more ideas, beyond you try Verify Disk and Repair Permissions. What language is the Mac running in? If you have a Portable Settings folder in the folder where Audacity is, rename that folder so that Audacity uses the cfg file I posted. Could you take a sreencast: How to r...
