Re: Standard intro and exit recording different bodies

Another way is to save the intro and outro as an Audacity project, then open the project when you want to record.

Re: help please- " couldn't find the project data folder".

You have to open an AUP file, not import it. have tryed placing the .aup and _data files together in the same folder, side by side on my desk top The AUP file and _data folder should have been together when you first saved the project. It does not matter where the AUP file and _data folder are, as l...

Re: Cannot change sound device

Would moving from PC to mac mess with the way Audacity runs? You could look at the pink panel at the top and answer the questions. Have you tried Transport > Rescan Audio Devices from the Audacity Menu Bar? You have to connect the USB device before launching Audacity, or do the audio device rescan....

Re: Audacity stopped almost all my windows sounds

It doesn't sound like this is anything to do with Audacity Forum. Audacity does not change your system sounds. Some apps, like Audacity, let you choose their default playback device whatever the Windows default device is. Open Windows Media Player, press ALT on your computer keyboard then choose Too...

Re: WAHWAH CRASH?

I can't test because I'm not on Windows, but I notice that in the Spanish translation there is: # #: src/effects/Wahwah.cpp:62 #, c-format msgid "" "Applied effect: %s frequency = %.1f Hz, start phase = %.0f deg, depth = %.0f" "%%, resonance = %.1f, frequency offset = %.0f%...

Re: ID3V1 vs. ID3V2 issue

A lot of people have been writing "2.06" lately, so we have to ask about that. Audacity is open source, so others can modify and redistribute it. Where are you looking in Windows at the Comments field? I still think you will be better using two different ID3v2 fields if you want two differ...

Re: How to confirm ASIO Support was included in the build?

Hello, I just successfully built Audacity 2.1.0 but I'm still waiting for the arrival of my ASIO supported sound card. When I start Audacity I don't see the dropdown for ASIO...is this just because I don't have the device installed yet? Yes the ASIO host does not show up unless an ASIO enabled devi...

Re: Recording stops when using playback in another window 2.

For now the best solution is probably to use some other application to record while you edit in Audacity - if you accept the risk that running effects in Audacity which could have high CPU usage or high memory usage (some Nyquist plugins) could cause dropouts in the recordings.
