I suggest you increase the recording level for whatever it is you're recording. Given you've not told us what you're doing, not given make and model numbers of your recording equipment, and not given us the information from the pink panel at the top, we're pretty much in the dark.

Re: Recoving interviews from .au files
Try to find and open the AUP file. If you don't have that, and as long as you never started to edit the recording, you can try the timesorting and renaming procedure mentioned on http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/re ... very_tools.

Re: recording from cassette suddenly stops
We can't see your computer. Is it a USB cassette player or are you recording cassettes some other way? If it is a USB player, try changing the cable for another one. What version of Windows is it? When you say the audio position stops, does the red recording cursor stop? If so, try Edit > Preference...

What protocol are you using - RDP? Perhaps try a VNC* flavour? Try an internet search for ideas.

Re: Not recording any sound [SOLVED]
I am unsatisfied with the quality from the Jensen JTA-230 turntable I have purchased (uneven turntable speed) and have ordered a Behringer UCA202 USB/Audio Interface so I will be able to use an older Technics direct drive (SL-Q200) thru an older Technics Receiver (SA-DX950) that I have, to record m...

Re: Sync with cloud services
When I must transfer a project to another computer I just transfer it as a separate AUP file and _data folder using my WiFi network. I'm not saying there might not be problems with using the cloud, but I don't think they are Audacity problems if you are saving correctly to the local folder in the fi...
