Re: jump to adjacent clip
When it's ready ;) I guess I must be an Audacity nerd now. I think this is the first time I've ever anticipated a new version of software. You can be even more of a nerd if you like and test the release candidate 3 build of 2.1.0 which we hope will become the actual release: http://sourceforge.net/...

Re: Distortion record/playback USB Turntable Audacity 2.0.6
The usual cause of squealing or white noise is the USB cable or headshell. If you are connecting to the computer with the USB cable, try a new USB cable and make sure both ends are tight. If the cartridge/headshell is removable from the tonearm, remove it and reseat it tightly and securely. Then res...

Some Razer Krakens are connected to the computer by USB - is yours?
Have you tried rebooting the computer?

Re: Unable to Activate Recording Signal Via Bose In-Ear Devi
I am unable to conjure a signal from a Bose in-ear headset/microphone combination device while using Audacity--the device works fine until I launch Audacity, and then suddenly the signal cuts out. The Audacity recording levels do indicate a sliver of red and I can hear some buzz. I have read all Au...

Re: Ripping audiobooks on multiple CDs
As far as Audacity is concerned, assuming you are using Export Multiple and you want to suppress only the track number, wait for the Metadata Editor to pop up for each file you are exporting, click in the track number then press "Remove". Depending which ripper you use there "may"...

Re: Audacity file cannot be loaded
I started a new topic for you so that the user whose topic you jumped into does not get confused. Please read the pink panel at the top of the page and gives us the details of operating system and Audacity version requested there. Tell us what you are trying to open. Is it an AUP Audacity Project fi...

Re: Audacity 2.0.6 missing from "Open With" menu [SOLVED]
The last solution on that page fixed it. "checking if you have the File Association Helper installed. It's included as a part of the WinZip package and overrides the default settings for how you deal with files, resulting in the greyed out "always use this program" box. Just uninstal...

Re: Recording on Mac OS X 10.10.1
If you are asking how to make that conversion, someone gave you wrong information. *-Law is automatically 8-bit. Tracks > Stereo Track to Mono if you already have a stereo recording. After recording, change the project rate bottom right to 8000 Hz. File > Export Audio... then choose "Other unco...

Re: No input signal to record
I finally managed to do some 1 track recording.. Double checked the transfer.. Changed the Audacity sample rate to match the Tascam 9600KHZ..Which I suspect is what opened the door.. When I attempted to change it back Audacity shut down upon pressing record.. Weird cyber minutia....Frankly I kind o...

Re: Audacity keeps stopping randomly
Well, I am recording a Game and Audacity. I edit the two together for YouTube. Is there a way to turn off all key strokes? Audacity can't turn off any global shortcuts (shortcuts that work in all applications) that are set by other applications. You have to turn off global shortcuts in the applicat...
