I'm glad it was fixed, so I'll mark the topic [SOLVED] and lock it.
I'll add that unless you chose the option to "Reset Preferences" in the Audacity installer, reinstalling would not actually change Audacity settings.

Re: recording through AV voice changer diamond?
We only make Audacity so we don't know how your software works. What do the AV Forums say about it? Also what version of Windows are you on? If you are on Vista or later, devices (virtual and otherwise) must be shown and enabled in Windows "Sound" ( http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer_...

Re: Recording Stops For No Reason?
We have tried installing a fresh copy of Audacity as well. If you do that, make sure you check (tick) the box "Reset Preferences" halfway through the installer then you can start from factory fresh Audacity settings which include 44100 Hz project rate. If you are using much higher rates i...

Re: Audacity file cannot be loaded
This whole mess is because you did not use File > Save Project As... . You should not have duplicated e00 folders. You should not have a _data folder inside a _data folder. Please see Managing Audacity Projects for how projects are structured. Yes I think the solution probably is to move the "e...

Re: how to play audacity audio on windows media
If that is the case, open the Windows sound control panels and set the default playback device to the speakers or headphones that you wish to use.vemurisreekrishna wrote:I am unable to play the audio from CD or DVD.

Re: Audacity file cannot be loaded
what do you mean with "select the AUP file and _data folder in Explorer" ?? I mean "select the AUP file and _data folder in Explorer", as I wrote. To select an item in Explorer, click on it with your computer mouse. To select a second item without deselecting the first item, hol...

Re: I CAN"T HEAR SOUND THROUGH MY RAZER KRAKEN
I have a usb connected one. But I just found out something. As soon as the computer boots, I can hear audacity and my recordings. But later when more of the startup programs boot up, I can't hear it anymore. Do you think that the problem is because of a program. It could be because of an audio devi...

Re: Recording Stops For No Reason?
I presume this is a stand-alone computer, not on a network? Relevant to that (assuming you are not recording into an already saved project), use Edit > Preferences... , look in the "Directories" section, then tell us the path it says in the "Location" box. The Audacity temporary...

Re: Audacity file cannot be loaded
In the dialogue you see, choose "Close project immediately". Before the data loss I tried to copy the folder and to move it in a usb pen. That should not be a problem if the project was closed and you select the AUP file and _data folder in Explorer, copy, then paste both into the same fol...

Re: Recording Stops For No Reason?
What is the model number of the Carvin - is it a USB mixer and is that all you have in your audio chain? And what actual audio are you recording? USB streams stopping is usually due to lack of computer resources are perhaps to a wrongly set buffer. So try shutting down un-necessary apps, or rebootin...
