Re: Problem with .wav format after exporting file [SOLVED]
As for Infrarecorder, I got brave and downloaded it from the new link you gave and my computer is still fine. Unfortunately the program would not burn my MP4 file to my blank DVD because I didn't have something called a VIDEO_TS folder on the blank disc. You wouldn't have any folder on a blank disc...

Re: "Audacity is already running"
Ooh, I think I managed to clean out the offending folder! It's working again! OK, I just posted more instructions for you before I saw your reply. Do you mean you cleaned out the content of /var/folders/1g/d5txl3_12pb7rjjrxqphwzch0000gn/T/ ? Did you reboot? Because reboot should clean out that fold...

Re: "Audacity is already running"
I think I followed your instructions correctly; This is what I got: -bash: /var/folders/1g/d5txl3_12pb7rjjrxqphwzch0000gn/T/: is a directory Diannas-Air:~ <myusername>$ echo $TMPDIR should produce just the folder name as here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=269621#p269621 . If you re...

Re: "Audacity is already running"
So I downloaded Audacity a few weeks ago on my Mac with Yosemite installed, and it was working fine. Yesterday, I started getting an error message that 'Audacity is already running". I have tried un-installing and re-installing the program, searching temp files for a possible lock, closing out...

Re: Error message. Haven't touched a thing.
once attempting to right click and hit "enable" it only has the "disable" option. In that case, that playback or recording device is already enabled. After doing what you said, i still have the error message. And I have a serato licensed mixer. But my software doesn't have the r...

Re: Just one file has no sound on just one computer?
went thru all the settings on Audacity on the computer that does the recording, and discovered that both the LAME Library and the FFmpeg Library are not on the computer. You need LAME for writing an MP3 but you don't necessarily need FFmpeg http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/FAQ:Opening_and_Saving_...

Re: Problem with .wav format after exporting audio file
It appears that InfraRecorder is a legit program and works fine. However, some people got tricked into pressing the wrong download button on the SourceForge site and ended up with an .exe file that contained a virus. So now, even though I clicked on the Downloads link, not the big green Download bu...

Re: Batch Processing iTunes Songs
Anyone have some suggestions for other software. I'm willing to purchase a product if it will actually keep my NORMALIZED songs sorted by album in iTunes. I would try https://www.dbpoweramp.com/ - it's free as long as you don't encode MP3's. It has a good range of effects and I think it should pres...

Re: Listening MiniDiscs
Hello ! I have a MD recorder , a iMac and iMic. I would like to listen my MiniDiscs. How should I proceed ? Mac's do not have playthrough. If you don't want to record the disc, connect the recorder to the stereo line-in of the Mac, get LineIn from http://www.rogueamoeba.com/freebies/ then play the ...
