Re: Lost all my work tonight
So were you recording but had never at the time done File > Save Project... or File > Save Project As... ? Did Audacity crash? If not, did you quit Audacity, and did you force quit it in Task Manager (Processes tab) or using Audacity itself? If you quit using Audacity, are you saying it asked you to...

Re: Upgrade to 2.1.0 and no more personal theme
Let's say I want to re-install everything from scratch, is there anything else to delete beside the following? ~/Library/Application Support/audacity/* /Applications/Audacity/* That should be all that matters. If you had created a custom Audacity temporary directory somewhere then that would still ...

Re: Unable to run Audacity 2.1.0 with Os X network account
Thanks for looking into this, Leland. as suspected, it is failing when attempting to create the socket. Which, after thinking about it, makes sense because Unix domain sockets are meant to be used within a single host. I don't see a workaround for you unless you want me to build you a private versi...

Re: Upgrade to 2.1.0 and no more personal theme
Thanks for the attachments but please note that we cannot see TIFF files on the Forum without downloading them. What language is your Mac running in and what language is Audacity running in? My Mac is set with French Canada and Audacity language is set to "System". I notice that Yosemite s...

Re: Please Help!! Audio delay in headphones. Hard to record.
There are audio interfaces with zero-latency hardware-monitoring , where the monitoring signal does not pass through the computer. But, I don't think your interface has that. The Guide for the Alesis io2 express says: MONITOR MIX – Blend in any amount of zero-latency signal from your inputs with th...

Re: Audacity crashes when running plugin
Doesn't crash for me on Win 7 on 2.4 GHz 6 GB RAM.
Have you tried for example selecting from zero to 1 minute 42.716 seconds, processing that, then process the rest of the song?

Re: Audacity 2.1.0 can't open new projects using a shortcut
Nonetheless, we should try in resolving our multi-project issues to respect the expected OS behaviour if it is safe for us to do so. But doesn't Microsoft running its own apps on Windows like Word, Excel etc. only gave one instance of each app - multiple documents and spreadsheets yes, but surely o...

Re: Record button doesn't always start recording
If the blue Pause button engages when the recording stops, make sure Transport > Sound Activated Recording is not selected (no tick mark).Moby wrote:Tried your command line invocation and the recording starts and stops repeatedly - like it's stuck in a loop.
