Note that if you export the MP3's as one combined MP3 you will degrade the quality. See http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/MP3#re-encode for lossless tools you can use to join MP3's.

Re: Copyright issues
You should consult your lawyer in South Africa to be sure. South Africa has a patents system http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Afri ... ent_system.

Re: Recordings missing
Do you know how to fix the Virus Protection and Security Permission issues? Sorry. I'm not much of a computer wiz. If you don't pre-save a project, then your recordings are stored in Audacity's temporary directory. Open Edit > Preferences... then choose the "Directories" section to see wh...

Re: Saving applied effects
First off, the stored EQ settings and whatever EQ's you apply to the audio are completely unrelated. I am trying to apply some equalizing to a project file. I may want to set it back to no-equalizing (flat) then try another group of settings. When I am finished I may not want to keep anything. When ...

Re: Comparing Noise Removal/Reduction between 2.0.6 and 2.1.
Is not the default sensitivity setting a good one? Imo the default sensitivity is just right, but outside of the default setting I do not find that control to be intuitive. With the old version I could mentally picture what the Sensitivity control was doing and to some extent predict what change wo...

Re: Problems with the new Noise Reduction replacing Noise Re
darrendeans, I am confused by your examples. You first complained that breaths and other sounds come out "metallic" which could result from too high sensitivity or too little frequency smoothing On the documentation http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/noise_reduction.html it should be no...

Re: Driver problem
I have just installed Audacity 2.1.0 on my Asus R510L (purchased in Dec. 2014). I want to convert cassette tapes to MP3-files. When plugging in the tape deck, the drivers were NOT found automatically as described in the manual. Audacity only makes the audio editor, not the USB tape deck. Please tak...

Re: Again recording won't start
On the 12th of march I posted almost the same question. Gale helped me to make the right settings at the Transport tab. This was successful. But now, I'm back with the same problem. Recording is stalling again. It won't start. Looked for the settings under the tab Transport but nothing was checked ...

Re: Prevent prompt "Save changes before closing" IF UNNECESS
Your post is verging on a troll. Your vote will be counted. 1) After you transcode to float, set the USER_DIRTY_FLAG=0 and return control to the user 2) On any data-altering editing done by the user, increment the USER_DIRTY_FLAG 3) At close time, if(USER_DIRTY_FLAG==0) { exit() } else { accost_user...

Re: Anwida soft DX reverb lite
after modifying a few values and activating the save user preset function, closing the preset and opening it again, the initial values remained unchanged (Mix = 0 etc.). Could somebody tell me where the values are stored (which directory) so that I can may be modify writing rights "and all tha...
