Re: Adjusting audio level of one CD track.
Just to close this .. I finally plugged in a separate CD player and output the audio signal to the Line-In on my Mac Mini. Then played the track I wanted into Audacity and voila, I was able to adjust the recording level, just like it was coming in from a tape machine. Good. But for those who have a...

Re: audacity 2.1.0 + xp sp3 error
I have sent you and ledestin private messages containing a link to a replacement SSE-only binary I made for 2.1.0. This is not an official release of 2.1.0 but is to enable you to test that the problem is use of SSE2 instructions. Please do not distribute the build to others. It will be identifiabl...

Re: HELP
Are you saving periodic backups, the whole show under different filenames, say once every half-hour or so? So you can just go back to the last one you made and reproduce everything after that. Even if Aslotz was only resaving the one project, it should still be possible to reopen the last saved sta...

Re: jack latency correction wierdness
The sound file is on track one and I press the record button to record in from the sound card's input port into the second track as the first one plays. The sound records as the second track but it is out of sync (does not line up with the track above.) I then open the preferences menu and change t...

Re: Recovering crashed project
I know this has been covered before... but I'm panicking in a big way. My computer and audacity crashed... If the computer crashed when using Audacity, that probably means there is a problem with your audio drivers or video drivers. You would need to address that or the crashes may continue to happ...

Re: scan des VST
When we install a new VST in Audacity, it is necessary to launch a scan. That is not quite correct if you use the latest Audacity 2.1.0 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . In 2.1.0, as long as you have not unchecked "Check for updated plugins when Audacity starts" in Effects P...

Re: Cannot open any file in Audacity
I'm having the same problem. I just installed Audacity 2.1.0 on Mac OS 10.7.5. I try to open an M4A file. It goes through the timer. Then nothing. Just a blank window with tools at the top that I can't use because no file is open. As previously stated, we cannot reproduce this issue. Therefore ther...

Re: Static/distortion on recording in Yosemite
You have control over Audacity's buffer setting as long as you don't use Software Playthrough.
If you turn software playthrough on then the buffer is fixed at the (low) PortAudio setting.

Re: Blue Yeti only makes feedback noise when recording?
I hate to be a burden, but could someone explain to me how to use the noise reduction feature in audacity? I get my noise profile, but don't mess around with the settings because to be honest I don't know much of them :(. As such, the noise is gone, until I speak, and then you can hear it moreso be...

Re: Blue Yeti only makes feedback noise when recording?
You have said nothing about your version of Windows or your computer. Yes it's pretty "normal". If you have a laptop, the USB interrupts are often shared so you get the noise from the USB modem, USB mouse and other peripherals. The recording is not loud enough. You are not recording far en...
