Re: Everything is gone and I'm crying
Keep a copy of your original autosave file somewhere safe, then try replacing the original autosave file with this version: ihiuh - 2015-04-19 21-07-46 N-44.autosave I replaced it and opened it, but there is no sound. Like it still has 17 minutes worth of stuff, but no sound. Is the audio just a fl...

Re: Recovering crashed project
now when I open THOR final.aup, it brings up the "Warning-Missing audio data block files" Check of Data folder has detected 669 missing audio block files. box. Named tracks, but no waveforms. That is exactly what I would expect, given your data folder does not contain the AU files listed ...

Re: Everything is gone and I'm crying
I was recording something for a school project and my computer crashed and shutdown in the middle of it. You will need to fix that because it is probably a problem with the audio or video drivers on your computer and it will very likely happen again. Please see here for what you can do about it: ht...

Re: Static/distortion on recording in Yosemite
Did another parallel recording today and my machine with Yosemite had the same problem again. Buffer was set to 50 and after a 35 minute good first recording and about 9 minutes into the second it went bad. Have you tried rebooting between first recording and second recording? Sorry I don't recall ...

Re: Audacity tracks stop playing in iTunes after 3 minutes
yes it re-imports at the correct length after I've given it the AVID treatment. But if you export from Audacity then immediately re-import the file into Audacity , the file is of the correct length, isn't it? I upgraded to Audacity 2.0.1 and it still does it. Of the 10 tracks I was trying to conver...

locked Play Region/cursor
Topic split from: Demo video of my scrubbing project! Now that we have a white vertical line in the wave when using the Timeline to quick play, I am more open to abandoning the existing CTRL-click behaviour. I'm loving that white line you get when using TQP - it's a great visual cue that using the ...

Re: Recovering crashed project
So do you have File History enabled? I'm thinking I should discard when the recovery box comes up? Will that take me to a previously saved version of the file? Pressing "Discard" will delete the "THOR final - 2015-04-14 00-43-20 N-1608.autosave" file. Then you would File > Exit ....

Re: Recovering crashed project
Attached is the THOR final.AUP file. I found a file labeled e0000fd9.au, just the d and the 9 are switched from what you asked for. That "e0000fd9.au" file is in your "THOR final_data" folder as you said, but not listed in the AUP file or the AUTOSAVE file. The AUP file and AUTO...
