Re: Equalization issue for 24/192 flac files
Thanks, I'll try the latest version of Audacity (which I just discovered after posting changed on 30 March). I'm hoping it will fix the EQ problem, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll update my settings for export. I bet you get a lot of chances to use the blanket statement "...update to the l...

Re: Warnings in High Pass Filter and Low Pass Filter
Thank you, but I consider, that nightly builds loose a lot of sense, when the Nyquist plugins are unapplicable. Older versions of the alpha builds are stored so you could continue using the new features that do work by going back to the alpha build before the problem started. If you click the link ...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor
But we need to decide if it is "Quick Play" as Steve has it in the app or the hyphenated "Quick-Play" as it has always been in the Manual up to now I vote for hyphenated. Perhaps I'm being dumb here - but isn't the whole point of a "locked" item is that it is immutable...

Re: Equalization issue for 24/192 flac files
In Audacity supplied by us, the export sample rate is set at Project Rate bottom left.
If you want a 24-bit depth FLAC export, press the Options... button in the Export Audio dialogue after selecting "FLAC Files".

Re: separating tracks
I have downloaded your instructions for splitting tracks and followed through to 'click the export button' when I should get metadata with the first track title. There are no titles shown. I have tried adding the track titles in order first of all clicking 'add' after each one and then 'OK' after e...

Re: Help with Recording electronic drums in Audacity
I have had my electronic Alesis DM6 drums for a few months now and want to start messing around with recording. I just downloaded Audacity as a recommendation for my Windows 8 laptop. I have a USB A to B cable and an aux cable. Basically what I was wondering is how to plug in my kit to my computer ...

Re: Everything is gone and I'm crying
I'm running windows 8.1 I went to "C:UsersKristenDocumentsihiuh_data". and saw "e00" and no "AU" files. Inside of the "e00" folder I saw "d00" and "d01", and no AU files. In the "d00" folder I saw the 292 AU files and in the &quo...

Re: Everything is gone and I'm crying
What version of Windows are you using? Audacity can't find the AU files in "C:UsersKristenDocumentsihiuh_data". Are you user "Kristen"? If you are Kristen, open that "C:UsersKristenDocumentsihiuh_data" folder in Explorer. You should see only one folder, "e00",...

Re: Lost audio in 2.0.1 testing exports skip in iTunes
Thanks, Cyrano. The loss of audio (just a "click") is known about even in 2.1.0 but not everyone experiences it. Do you have a portable Mac? The click is believed to be when Audacity can't restart the sound system. Playing audio in QuickTime is often said to restore audio in Audacity. Can ...
