Re: Problems with the new Noise Reduction replacing Noise Re

So, since I would like to start my new project soon, should I go ahead and try the 12, 6, 6 or would you like samples from me? If so, room tone, speaking, pre and post editing? 6 for Frequency smoothing is the maximum, but 0 is the default. Perhaps you could experiment with what smoothing level wor...

Re: reverse delay (5s max)

_ The plugin LADSPA revdelay_1605 is placed in:Windows (C:)\Program Files (x86)\Audacity\Plug-Ins _ All the plug-ins LADSPA are in the same place. _ I downloaded these plugins on the official site of Audacity (LADSPA_plugins-win-0.4.15). When I click "Defaults", the only thing which takes...

Re: Improve background voices

Please read the pink panel at the top of the page. Does this have anything to do with education? If you have a lecturer's voice recorded faintly from the back row in the hall, with the students talking louder than the lecturer, you can only try Effect > Compressor really, and delete the students' ta...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor

I have some serious reservations about this mockup of a Transport Toolbar with a speed control: 1) It will be far too easy for users to accidentally nudge the slider (we already know that folk do this with the pan and gain sliders in the TCP). Fair enough that you do have the visual cue of the nume...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor

I think that a large part of this problem is that we do not visually distinguish between the current "play position" when stopped, and the "start of the play region". Things would fall into place much better if we did: http://forum.audacityteam.org/download/file.php?id=12519 I q...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor

Conceptually I think it makes no sense to "lock" the "current play position" because it is transient by its nature. It's useful though, and it would be a feature that we never had before, given 2.1.0 could only "lock the static cursor position as a play region". Why us...
