Re: music trance how do i do that?
Is there a reason you won't tell us what version of Windows you are using?

Re: music trance how do i do that?
You can import some trance music into Audacity, and at your own risk, listen to it, or pin the playback head and become mesmerised as you look at the waves.
Or are you talking about Brainwave entrainment?

See http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_ ... .html#sync (scroll down to "To fix speed drift, pitch and quality problems, try the following tips"). You will have to go through them all.
You can also attach an audio sample for us to listen to.

Re: Does scarlett 18i20 work with Audacity
Steinberg licensing is changing. It seems the latest ASIO version has 2 licenses: Commercial AND GPL. You might want to look into that. I have done so, but drew a complete blank. The 2.3 ASIO SDK has a PDF licence application form to send to Steinberg. I see nothing about GPL. The VST 3 SDK has a d...

Re: file names missing or not showing correctly in Import>Au
You could compile Audacity 2.1.1 against wxWidgets 2.8.12 and see if 2.1.1 had the issue. If it doesn't, then it might be a wxWidgets problem, but I am guessing it will be the same in 2.1.1. What about Audacity 2.1.0? You suggested trying to go back to that version in the other post. Either 2.1.0 o...

Re: Audacit DAW
Audacity is not a DAW. We strongly recommend you only download Audacity from http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows . "Sound Mapper - Input" is whatever the default Windows recording device is at the time, and "Sound Mapper - Output" is whatever the default Windows playback...

Re: Audacity 2.1.3 solo issue
We made the "Simple" Solo option default in 2.1.3 because it was less confusing for most users. You can mute the tracks you don't want to hear to (in effect) solo multiple tracks. If you want the old behaviour back, go to Tracks Preferences and set "Solo button" to "Multi-tr...
