Re: Audiobox USB doesn't register
I see this is a somewhat outdated post but heres a serious tip for anyone who precedes to have this issue. When I first got mine I was immediately put off because I too had driver installation issues, particularly the recording device one. I could use my audiobox to play back my guitar/bass/mic and...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor
Another thought when all this is decided - should the locked position be saved in the AUTOSAVE and AUP?

Re: locked Play Region/cursor
What I disagree about is how we achieve that functionality [...] What I'm trying to do is to tease apart the transport system so that it can be put back together with a unified and consistent underlying scheme. Locking a "play from" position can fit in that scheme, but not the way were pr...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor
I don't think non-overdub recording continuing past the selection is unreasonable Completely agree - in fact, more than agree - I think the fact that it stops at the end of the selection is a bug. Recording continues, but it's a logged bug that the recording cursor stops at the end of the selection...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor
If the slider is only enabled when the Play-at-Speed button is depressed, No, I didn't suggest that, and I think that would be far too limited. If we were to do that then there's little point in putting the speed slider into the Control Toolbar. There is one benefit if Paul uses the Transcription T...

Re: Unbalanced channels
That should be a higher quality output than headphones as a rule, but it could be too "hot" and probably there is no way to control its level or balance.piemel wrote:For the DAT output I am not using the headphone but the dedicated RCA L/R outputs.

Re: Voice change for the seek of privacy
It isn't for legal porpuses, I won't go to jail if someone could get my voice back, but if you would have to say the hardest change to recover, which would be it? That depends on the skill level of the users who will be trying to defeat your attempts to disguise your voice. The best solution is to ...

Re: Unbalanced channels
Using Windows 7 Audacity 2.1.0 Audacity settings are set to 2 channel Stereo. The DAT player is a Sony PCM-R300 connected through RCA Audio L/R to the Beheringer UCA202 input that connects to the laptop via USB. What output of the DAT player are you connecting from? If the DAT player has a headphon...

Re: Can't record from cassette player
Even if Windows lets you write where you want, you should never save Audacity projects inside your Audacity temporary folder. Look at Edit > Preferences... then "Directories" to make sure you know where your Audacity temp folder is, so that you don't save projects insider that folder. Gale

Re: 2.0.6 opens MP4s, 2.1.0 cannot?
Another explanation would be if these are not the same files that you were opening before but are corrupted files or files that have been crippled with Digital Rights Management. If the problem continues after reinstalling FFmpeg 2.2.2, download "MediaInfo" from http://mediainfo.sourceforg...
