Re: Recording Desktop Audio With USB Headset Error
The mic itself works fine, sorry for any confusion. What I'm having issues with is trying to record the loopback to capture desktop sound as well. Basically how I've got it setup is 1 track is voice commentary, 1 is audio from the desktop (or game in this case) so I can edit them independently for ...

Re: .slt plugins reverb help?
Anwida may work on Intel Macs on OS X 10.6 or earlier using Rosetta . Ambience http://www.kvraudio.com/product/ambience-by-smart-electronix is a VST reverb plugin for Windows and Mac - there is also an Audio Unit version for Mac. I suggest you download the latest Audacity 2.1.0 from http://web.audac...

Re: Recording Desktop Audio With USB Headset Error
You could try turning off Transport > Overdub... and Transport > Software Playthrough in the Audacity menus (the latter should never be on when recording computer playback). Have you looked in the settings in Windows Sound http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer_Toolbar_Issues#vistacp ? Right-click ...

Re: HOW DO I REMOVE CRACKLING SOUND FROM CASSETTE RECORDING?
First of all, you can not to connect the line level output signal from the cassette tape deck to the microphone input connector of your computer (desktop or laptop). The microphone connector is made to handle a microphone level signal (-57 db). The cassette tape deck has line level signal (-10 db)....

Re: How do I control recording volume?
I am using a CAD Audio U1 Handheld USB Recording Microphone with a sleeve on it to avoid hissing. Have you looked at the U1 USB Recording Microphone - CAD Audio Manual ? That shows clearly that your mic should have an input volume control in "Sound" in system preferences (click the "...

Re: My Scarlet 2i2 does not show as an option for input/outp
downloaded the software for the Scarlett and now it appears. Which software was that? Scarlett say (somewhat confusingly) that the "Scarlett 2i2 runs in class-compliant mode on a Mac. No driver is required. Simply plug and play". But below that they say "If you have previously...

Re: Recordings at 192 kHz very faulty
I tried a lot of things, but nothing in Audio/Midi setup. Could I hope for some kind of hint there? I mean, other Programs record correctly, Audacity also records correctly when I change the project rate to 48 kHz, i.e., downsampling - I cannot imagine that somenthing might be to find in the set up...

I don't think so, Peter. I have the scrubbing problem in 2.1.1-alpha even at 44100 Hz.waxcylinder wrote:@Gale: this couldn't possibly have anything to do with the mis-behavior that You and Bill get on Macs with the experimental scrubbing, could it![]()
