Re: Real-time transfer of audio being captured

If the stream has a known protocol and address then VLC can play it and/or dump it simultaneously to a file.

You "may" be able to copy the file periodically and paste it to a new location. I have not tried that to see how well it works, if at all.

Re: Getting Audacity to acknowledge and read Lexicon Alpha D

Same as in your previous post. Unless you are prepared to say what your version of Windows and Audacity is, you're not likely to receive the most useful answers. Please see the pink panel at the top of the page. Start Audacity after connecting external devices or external mics, or use Transport > Re...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor

B) On starting recording, the play region is temporarily removed, unless locked, and restored when the user stops the recording. If the play region is locked, then it's locked and recording is confined to the defined region. I prefer this solution. Do you envisage that the waveform selection would ...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor

Sorry but I'm still not clear which is the normal play button on the < x1.0 > double button and how the arrow buttons enable direction of playback for both 1.x and modified speed. As a rough mock-up, something like: Control Toolbar with speed2.png Click the normal Play button and playback starts at...

So did you try these suggestions?

Re: MP4 from Youtube short-loaded using FFMPEG

I've been doing some more testing. Can't seem to produce any audio output from video that doesn't either crash Audacity or opens, but doesn't play. My notes: Import from 4K QuickTime mov Audacity crashed with both test files see Audacity crash report: Audacity crash log.txt Dolby AC3 5.1 Failed lik...

Re: Recordings at 192 kHz very faulty

I wasn't asking "why" you designed this device, but the fact remains that even if its sample rate/bit depth choices in Audio MIDI Setup are disabled, selecting the device in Audio MIDI Setup (confirming to the OS that it is default device) sometimes helps Audacity along to record correctly...
