Your aggregate device has two inputs (1 + 1 = 2) , so what happens if you set Audacity to record in stereo?
Do both mics record separately, one connected at a time?

Re: MP4 from Youtube short-loaded using FFMPEG
Did you delete audacity.cfg? If not, please quit Audacity then do so. I quit Audacity between most tests, but not in all tests. Cyrano, to save going round in circles, please delete audacity.cfg after quitting Audacity. I think you may have corrupted or altered settings which are the cause of this....

Re: Very low sound recording for interviews conducted via Sk
Audacity 2.0.6 does not officially support Yosemite so I suggest you use 2.1.0 from http://web.audacityteam.org/download . I've recorded several interviews conducted on Skype through Audacity. My guest speaker's voice recording is always extremely quiet/low. I've been told my a sound editor that it ...

Re: Separating multiple audio files saved as one mono file
Why did the screen go black - was it a screensaver? Unfortunately you can't unmix the tracks in the exported file. Did you quit Audacity normally after export? If so it would have asked if you wanted to save changes. If you said yes it would have tried to save an AUP project file. If you have the AU...

Re: Windows 8.1
Well not with very old ones. Yes Audacity 2.1.0 is compatible with Windows 8.1. 2.1.0 requires a minimum of XP Service Pack 3 and the CPU must support SSE2 instructions (which it will if it was built in the last 12 years).Robert2 wrote:Audacity is compatible with all Windows systems.

Re: Audio units in Chains
I want to redraw eq presets I created with a 10 band eq in another application and add them to my tracks in audacity. This works very well with the Apple AU Graphic EQ, but I can't save them for future use. I have to redraw them every time I need them. If you could use AU's in Audacity 2.1.0, that ...

Re: Audio units in Chains
Even without the new effects, Audacity is a great program and personally I am very grateful to the Audacity Team for their hard work and dedication. I wonder does anyone know of a 10 band graphic eq plugin for audacity with savable settings similar to the Apple AU Graphic EQ ? Does Audacity's Graph...

Re: How do I control recording volume?
Sorry. I did replace the video. It can now be located here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-ydLxoidWE The sound still 'crunches'. Of the two words we can compare with the video, only the "intoxicating" word is much worse in the video. if you made the video from samples of the same quali...

Re: Unbalanced channels
If I switch the L/R from Behringer the channels output balance switches around accordingly. So it is then the right channel that is clipped at 0.7? That would rather rule out a problem with the Behringer. And you have checked Windows is set to record in stereo, I assume? Since the L/R channels look...

Re: Audio units in Chains
I'm having trouble loading audio units on the PPC. (pls. see link below.) Has this issue been addressed? Sorry I forgot that. I heard no more about it, so I have asked again. However we had a lot of work to do for 2.1.0 to make Audio Units load on Yosemite so we would not want to compromise that. W...
