Re: problem recording
For clarity please always give us all three numbers of the Audacity version - see the pink panel at the top of the page. Windows "Nightly Builds" alternative site
Should the usual site https://www.fosshub.com/Audacity-Windows-Nightlies.html be unavailable due to a known problem then the latest build will be posted at http://audacity-win-nightly-builds.weebly.com/ instead. Builds will not be posted to the weebly site in normal circumstances.

Re: Very low sound recording for interviews conducted via Sk
Sound Siphon is to be preferred... Because....... For the reason I stated before. You can set system output to Sound Siphon to record computer playback then still hear that playback. With Soundflower you have to run their extra "Soundflowerbed" app to hear computer audio in system apps wh...

Re: My Scarlet 2i2 does not show as an option for input/outp
The 'driver' I got was from the Focusrite website. I presumed that was the issue, but now when I tried to use it today again Audacity doesn't display the 2i2 in the drop down menus, but the lights come on the unit when I plug it in the USB port. I would uninstall that driver. As far as I can see th...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor
To me the case you give is very odd. Why do I to need to hang around waiting the intro to play? The intro: "Dum de de da da da...." That's your cue to start talking: "... Welcome back to episode two of ...." I would have heard that dum de when I amplified it. Otherwise the commo...

Re: Very low sound recording for interviews conducted via Sk
Your may hear your own voice after a delay. So they don't bother to compensate for echo. That could be annoying. Only based on one vague report given here. Users who don't want to buy software can help us by trying those steps out and giving us a detailed report. Also you could use Sound Siphon in ...

Re: Help connecting alesis dm6 to computer for simple record
Audacity does not record MIDI and you do not have a line-in input on your computer suitable for connecting to audio out of the drum kit. Please see your previous post where all this was explained. Buy yourself a USB interface that has a line-in. Gale What exactly is a USB interface? Can you possibl...

Re: Can Audacity create its own libraries of AUs (from Logic
An AU file in Audacity is a few seconds of stored digital audio data. It is not MIDI. If you have MIDI data Audacity cannot do anything with it unless you convert to an audio format like WAV or AIFF or play it in Logic and record it into Audacity . If you just want a few seconds of audio here and th...
